What is safer beauty? There is a lot that goes into making a product safer but most importantly it is about the ingredients. We ban 1800 questionable and harmful ingredients, source our ingredients responsibly, and test them accordingly. Our mission is to educate others on these ingredients, share sources to choose safer products. Why? Because beauty should be good for you!
Lets talk about one main ingredient that you should put on your NEVER list. Fragrance, and its actually not an ingredient. It is a term that manufactures use on their ingredient list and it can encompass up to 3,000 other ingredients under that. This lack of disclosure prevents consumers from knowing the full list of ingredients in their products. While most fragrance chemicals are not disclosed, we do know that some are linked to serious health problems such as cancer, reproductive and developmental toxicity, allergies and sensitivities. Hormone disruptors are commonly found in products with the ingredient fragrance listed. Clearly, there is a need for stronger regulations, more research, and greater transparency.
So without knowing the long Never list of ingredients, lets start with looking at your current products and if it has fragrance listed on the ingredient list, ditch it. or take another approach and either use it up and switch it out to a safer cleaner product. Trust me, i am still finding products with this on it and they told me it was a clean non toxic brand. Once you know better you do better. Fragrance is a horrible term and it can hide so much under that name. Your body and health will thank you later. Just say NO to fragrance!
